How do you guys feel about Gas treatments for preventative maitainance ie: keeping fuel injectors clean. Is this a good idea or would I feel better if drank it.

I have about 1/2 a bottle of Valvoline fuel treatment left from a few years ago that I bought because it had a free Mark Martin Rapala fishing lure in with it. Personally I don't think fuel injectors get clogged up, unless you have a serious egr problem (or junk in the system from a bad fuel filter, then stuff in the bottle won't help). Gasoline running through the injectors keep them cleaned out anyways. Just my opinion.....I may be wrong. Now octane boost is another story (debate).
i get racing gas when i go to the track and sometimes if i know im street racing or whatever i get the octane booster. while on the topic my 68 z28 (all origian) needs lead addative to its fuel , but its synthetic the real stuff is illegal
gm suggest supplement every 3000 miles /every oil changetechron is what is sold at the shopbut gm has the additive for 18.50 and yes i have see bad gas offen so it does help to add itbut every 3,000 is too much for me
Thanks Folks!I kinda get the impression that a fuel system cleaner would be good prev. maintainence.
