I've noticed a lot of complaints about the paint. I don't even have a chip out of my paint yet and I have over 15,000 miles on it 5 months. Poor tire traction for winter roads No light under the hood so I can see what I'm working on No panic button on the remote I hate the safety feature on the sunroof Ever notice how much windshield wiper fluid it holds!?!? Seats are comfortable Small turning radius is perfect for those illegal U-turns

My dislikes:The base model should have more power.Underpowered for the size of the car. 4 wheel disk brakesWish the packages didn't work the way they do, like I wish I could've got the Moonroof w/o premium sound so wouldn't had to rewire my amp. That was a pain the (removed)!. O well, it's coo.Inder Singh

Ok, I FINALLY figured out what it is about this ebrake system that makes it so hard to DISengage it!!!It's because the ebrake handle isn't long enough. My dad's GA and my old Sunfire both had handles that, when in the engaged position, rose ABOVE the center console. Because when this one is engaged, the release button and handle are still below the top level of the console, there's no leverage, and it's awkward to disengage. That make sense? So my point is, make the ebrake handle LONGER!

You could always back off the cable adjustment a tad, leaving the lever higher in the engaged position...

eh?If I'm understanding, you say adjust the cable so the lever pulls back farther? If that's the case, than it's still too short...there's no room to grab the lever, push the button, and get decent leverage...I'd rather adjust it so it didn't come up as far, then I might be better off...but I sense that isn't really possible without causing the brakes to engage prematurely...

AWD GT would be awesome. Roof rack as an option instead of mandatory (I like the GXP roof)Better looking 17" rims or even 18" alloys.Have pontiac stick with their marketing scheme that this is a GenX car, not a soccer mom mobile. Stop compromising to that direction, GM! (the new 2005 vibe/minivan grille is my example!)
Sold the vibe.Sorry, GM. I bought an Acura.

Well I have been an owner for a month now and the things that I have noticed. The moon roof thing is annoying yes, Gm performance division needs to get on the wagon with Toyota and offer the same parts, The rear window washer sucks still for 04, the new dash lighting is nice I like it very visible.Being able to close the windows once you shut the vehicle off instead having to go to ACC or ONDRL's are annoying true as with the automatic lights, but one thing I wish that it had was the ability to disengage the auto lights with the parking brake like the DRL's are. This would eliminate any evidence of your lights burning up when you start your car and let it warm up.I am sure that I will notice more things but I love it so far it is awesome.later

I've had my used Vibe nicknamed 'Salsa Wagon' for 45 days and 1000 miles. Major huzzah's to the "Pontiyota" design team for:1) Handling: It steers and turns like a sport(y) sedan, not a lead-sled station wagon. (Toyota Celica heritage, I suppose)2) Ride height: I can see eyeball to eyeball with many SUV drivers, instead of looking up at their doorhandles. Yeah, it'd be cool to lower it a few inches, but then I'd be back down at doorhandle level again.3) Space utilization: I've always loved hatchbacks, and this one is superb. Space utilization compares favorably to the '89 Saab 900T I used to own. Every nook and cranny has useful places to put things.4) Ride quality: It's firm, but so much better than the Saab was. The Saab was an SPG, so it rode and drove like a race car, even on 60 series 15" wheels.5) Performance: Even on my base Vibe, I'm amazed at how well it accelerates when I put the pedal to the floor. It's also possible to drive it like an economy car.6) Styling: I don't really need an add-on body kit. It's already pretty aggressive from the factory, and pieces don't fall off in the car wash. I would like a rear "wing" that would also direct air down the back window to keep it clean. Oldsmobile station wagons had them standard in the 80'sMy major dislikes: (admittedly, this is a pretty short list!)1) No MP3 capability! I'm 50+ (20 years or more past the target age group) and I've been into MP3's for two years. With MP3 capability in the 6-disc changer, I could load up enough tunes to drive cross country - twice!2) Sulfur odor from exhaust (I know it depends on the sulfur content of the fuel and that they removed the nickel catalyst from the cataclysmic converter.3) Crappy oem Continental tires. Since I bought a used one with 23k miles on the clock, I'm much closer to wearing them out and buying real tires than I would be if I had purchased a new one. 4) Put a 3-hole washer nozzle on the back window too, so the spray can cover the window, not just dribble down the center.

My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.

Get rid of the annoying pause while retracting the moonroofDarker colored headliner (it gets really dirty really fast)Leather wrapped steering wheel (the material that the wheel is made of is already starting to visibly wear)Rear windshield SPRAYER, not straight stream squirterOption to turn off automatic headlightsRear carpeting stockMore interior color optionsOK, I'm done
