Maybe and maybe not. It may be similar but the extra harness that goes to the GPS antenna and the extra harness that goes to the 6-disc CD changer under the seat won't be there.
quote:Does any one know if the wiring harness for the base radio and the GPS system are the same?? If any one knows can you let me know.ThanksYes, but there're extra wires.I have the NAV system that i've already tapped stuff into, what do you need to know?

I would like to get the GPS system for my Vibe and just want to know if the plug in the back is the same idea as the other radios. I am not planning using a 6 disc changer just the GPS system. I was reading in some of the messages that the CD/ DVD plays normal CD's with out the screen and that's OK. I am just curious if it's going to be a plug in and work or if the plug in to the back of the unit is different. if anyone knows please just let me know. Thanks again.
You want to get the Stock NAV system after you get the car?Anyway..it's the same connector, and most of the wiring is the same. The only wierd thing about the stock nav system is that it might have external sensors. When you go into the diag mode on the nav system, it reads signal from the tach/spedometer (I think..it reads pulses and gives speed), and it might have an external gyro. The gyro might be internal..i'm also not sure.. Cool to have though, as long as you have a GPS fix when you start up, the system will keep going off the secondary sensors.
