Post by Cubanpete »

I dont get it! Either People are stupid and spend cash foolishly or what?...Both of the auctions you see below are at 66.00 US...thats like 100.00 Bux canadian for the mat, I can buy them here at the dealer at that price, What kind of deals is one getting here, please do the math and enlighten me??? .....and cheaper at GM online parts site that is posted here on one of the Threads on Genvibe!!!.....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... gory=33697

CubanPete, I am the "Shadow_Vibe" on one of these auctions. The cheapest I've been quoted by a dealer is $95. The highest I was asked to pay was $120. I was getting frustrated with the parts departments in my area. I was getting screwed more at the dealerships than on ebay. You notice that the mat has a price listed on the GM web page, however what it also says is contact your delarer (This means go get screwed buy your local dealerships and don't come cryin to us when they won't sell it to you for list price!!!!!!) It's easier to get it for list price when you add it to the price of the vehicle at time of purchase because that "list price ends" up being more with interest. When you go to a parts department they try make up for the interest GM will loose by jackin' up the price. BTW if you notice my auction shipping is included so I am only payin' 66.51 if I win!!! I saved 30 bucks!!!!!!!!

I have to agree. The Weathertech mats are a lot nicer and the quality is outstanding. If you are going to get one, get a Weathertech. Well worth the money. The only reason I don't have one is because I have a todler son that sits in a car seat and I user the anchors in the floor of the cargo area.

Ebay users can be ridiculous. I browse frequently checking out CD's and DVD's and find that many times users are paying more than you would pay at bestbuy.com (or similar site). Oh well, maybe I should sell some CD's there and make some dough...

I think you should drop Pontiac a letter (harder to ignore then an eMail) about the way the dealers are acting. There is now reason they should be asking that much over the $69 suggested retail. Send a copy of the letter to the dealers.

The Price I told you, is not with a vehicle Purchase...thats the standalone price....the matrix rug is even cheaper!..So if your dealeris pulling a number on you go elsewhere.....69.00 is suggested retail, meaning its already marked up......and if you were asked to 120.00 US for the carpet.....thats a joke, the one on Weather tech is probably 3 times as thick as well as resistant to spills as well!, As for ebay I got a rear brake light with the vibe Logo, the Ad on Ebay guranteed the item free of defects for 7 years, It Installed perfect..with the recent cold spell, it lost its adhesive properties, I contacted the seller for a new one, and he told me sorry but you had have to pay for a new one, at this point, I got pised off at this!!! I think you get the picture where he can shove the decal, I understand making money but trying to ditch someone in a hot coalmine is not my style....in any case.........Good luck!

Well....I see it this way fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! Sorry but if its not a retail store or a parts shop, Not interested...I pay cash I get a bill, I know straight of the bat what I buy is covered or not under some Mfr warranty.....as with my previous post...That cost me 15.00 Canadian with shipping, if the product failed to deliver due to extreme temprature change, thats should not be the customers fault.....Its not the 15 bux that bothered me, I asked for a replacement part not a refund.....just the business principle....I catch on quickly!

nope the company is called Line-x, they do all kind of slip resistant application such as floors, truck beds, outer body spray, decks ect. The guy said he had never done one before but is willing to give it a whirl. most likely for free, since he'll use the pictures as a demo. Best thing is they can do it in color to color match or contrast it if I want.

I payed $75+tax US for mine at the dealer. Makes the back look much better, IMHO. So, $66 is a deal, as long as the S&H isnt more than about $10.

I thought the mat was a $50 MSRP option? Of course "parts" always cost more - right? I would just like something to keep everything back there from sliding around. Saw some rubber backed entrance mats @ $12 each that might work - two would cover the area and you could trim them to fit. But didn't like the color - will keep looking.
