This program scheduled to run until 9/3/02.
Thanks MA-VIBE-FAN. Called my dealer and confirmed that the new rebate program is also applicable now in NJ. Hopefully they'll come out with a better incentive after 9/3 since my vibe might not come in until after that date.
Just visited the wwwgmcanada.com site to learn that that GM isn't offering incentives for Canadians. Go figure, they don't want to build any cars for us either.

GOOD NEWS FOR CANADIANS who will take delivery of their Vibe in the next weeks... I was told today that there will be a new promo from GM Canada called «GM Boxing» for the next few weeks. This special will give 0.00% financing for 48 months and minimum 500$ rebate. This will be good on any Pontiac Vibe.I said "minimum 500$", it's because you can also win your new car.

Uhm,I just bought a neptune base vibe, with $2000 rebate. Of course there was also the option of 0% for 36 months, 2.9% for 48, and 3.9% for 60 (if you have a GREAT credit rating ). Of course this is Kansas, just slightly beneath OZ. KSnept

We bought the VIBE before the price increase. We paid Can$25113 (including GST) for it. With the new price the same options will cost Can $26989 (including GST), that is almost $1900 more. I guess they can afford to offer low/no interest rate and a tiny rebate.Just my 2 cents

For those in the US with GM employee discount, the rebate on the Vibe is now $2,250 or 0% (36 mos) plus $250 cash. This is effective 11/1/02 through 1/2/03. Basically $250 better than what's available to the general buying public.

I saw an ad in the local newspaper this weekend.I forgot so say in my last post that the rebate can be as high as 10000 $, but the minimum is still 500 $. It's like a contest but you could also win the car... If you don't win a big rebate, you can win the consolation prize of 0% financing rate...

Oh yeah. I tried to go to the GM website all weekend ( http://www.gmcanada.com ) and it won't display any new vehicle specials or offer. It keeps saying the site is 'temporarily' down and to try back again soon. Still not working. Which newspaper was that in? Maybe just a local dealer offer?
I think the GM Canada web site is still not updated with this info. I didn't find anything too. It's not a local dealer special. I think it's for all Canada and it is almost the same specials as last year but a little bit different. When you buy a new car, you have to make a telephone call with the dealer to a special number and you know at this time what you win. My dealer called it «GM Boxing» but I saw a different name for that in the newspaper in French «Decrochez une GM - Telephonez et gagnez». I saw some ad about that this weekend at 3 different dealers.

I saw this advertised in The Province newspaper (BC) on Sunday November 17th, page E27. You "ring in to win", max is a new car, min. is $500. This is on "virtually any new vehicle". The o% financing is on "vitrually all 2003 models".I am going to call to see if this applies to the Vibe. If so, i am curious to see if they will allow me to do this as I ordered in Sept with 4.8% financing agreed on.
Abyss Vibe, power package, alloy wheels, 6 speaker system, cargo mat, mud guards and bumper protector!
quote:I am going to call to see if this applies to the Vibe.My answer is YES. It's my dealer who inform me about that. But I think you must take delivery of your Vibe in the next few weeks (before the special ends...). If you ordered in September, I think you will not receive your car before January or February.

Base Vibe, auto, Neptune, power, alarm, 6 Cd with upgraded speakers, cargo mat, rear bumper protector, Stealth theft-deterent system. Ordered June 24 - delivery on January 24.
I think I bough my Vibe too soon..... 2 or 3 weeks later and I'd get this new offer. But anyways, I have to pleasure to drive my Vibe. It can't fill up this hole in my pocket but it compensate by giving myself satifaction right away instead of waiting
I know how you can feel... But nobody knows about this offer until last Friday when my dealer sent me an e-mail about that.I was very excited because I didn't expect any deal on the Vibe. I was sure that I should pay MSRP with no low interest rate and rebate.... I'm now happy that this happens because they don't exclude the Vibe from the specials for one time!!!

When I bough my Vibe, my salesman and the dealermanager told me the price we sold you ythe Vibe is the price written in the window and it is not negotiable. I was unable to get tinted window for free. For me the most important is not the price but the satisfaction of my Vibe. I'm so proud of it.
I was lucky enought to brought my Vibe at the right time... But I got only 500$ rebate. I ask my dealer if he know people who got more then that (I think there was a promotion like this last year) and he say no. It's always 500$... But, hey ! You can't trust a dealer with anything...
quote:Presently my VIBE on order deal calls for 4.9% / 60 months. That is what mine was. I swallowed it as it is similar to what my mortage has been, better than the bank rate for cars and much better than what I got in 1979 12%. So historically it isn't that bad. I try to think happy thoughts now I actually have the car.

I guess I'm lucky that I got my Vibe in October at 0% APR/60 months. The incentive offer at the time was $2000 rebate or 0% for any length loan. I couldn't resist the free loan. I think that the offer is still good here in PA.

4,9%/60 month. Not bad I guest. Better that the 6.9% my parents have on there Altima 2003.380$ / month. I didn't want a car that cust me more than 400$/month.

I had a 2001 Montana, with 21 000$ payback on it. The dealer was giving me 15 000$ for it, so I transfered my location to another person.....Then, I already took the new diplomat reward (cannot take it twice) and I don't have GM credit card. I think I could be a good idea to get one.
On the new contest «Ring in and Win», yesterday, I only won 500 $ rebate. But I have the consolation prize too: 0.00 % interest rate. This new deal just happens at the right time!

You wait about 2 weeks more then me and pay less then me. You got 0.0% plus 500$ rabate. It means about 3 500$ less for me if i'd get this rate. Nice for 2 weeks.
I went to the Montreal International auto show this week-end. According to the GM rep, 0% rate is on leasing or 48 month purchase.... 60 month is at 4.9%. I called GMAC and they confirmed, 4.9%/60, 0%/48 plus rabate when you call (from 500$ to the total of the vehicule)
quote: I got a hood deflector for free... Wow good for you! I can't get my dealer to provide one at any price. Any chance you know the part number of that hood deflector? It seems that unless you can prove the part exists and hit them over the head with it, you do without. Can you please post a pic of your car w/deflector?

I was lucky enough to hold off until the 0% purchase for 4 years and Ring adn Win contest began. Fortunately, John McConnell at Orillia Pontiac advised me when we talked with him that the Ring and Win contest was imminent. The 0% was a big pleasant surprise as GM has been very stingy about anything to do with them. You will note that for the most part Vibes are conspicuously absent from dealer advertising! I subsequently bought my five speed from a very nice young fellow named Darren Tapson at Dennis Murphy Pontiac in Cambridge. When you see what you want with the terms that you want on a Vibe you have to pounce, in Canada at the moment anyway! I certainly didn't get anything else though, couldn't even sweet talk them out of a Pontiac cap. As I posted earlier, Gm has really given me a large pain with all of this. If I hadn't been so keen on the Vibe I would have gone elsewhere (also had Gm card points, the clincher). Canadians should remember that the rules change on GM points as of 2003. I think the limit will be $1500 or perhaps even less regardless of how much you have accumulated. Good luck you Vibe hunters! Go get 'em.

It takes at least 2 weeks shipping from NUMMI. Funny, I've been given Dec. 9 as when the order will go in (ordered mid September ) and possible build early January. Maybe they're doing a big 'Canada Run' in January.

Don't give up SCTM! I'm thinking of you... I know how it can be long but it's worth the wait. The Vibe is a very nice car... I have no word to describe it and I'm very satisfied... Just a few days and it will be at your home. I have an idea... Do you think the dealer can give you the 0% - 48 months and the rebate «Ring in and Win» if he already have the NIV because it will be built on December 9? Maybe you can do an arrangement with him...
