Hello,
New member and fairly new owner. I purchached my 05 base manual Vibe a few months ago with 130k and in the last 10k miles I've only done basic maintenance...belt, filters, plugs and trans oil. Averaging 34 mpg driving 150 miles per day. I wish I had found a Vibe sooner.

One thing that attracted me to the Vibe when I bought mine in '06 was the gas mileage. I do around 20,000 miles per year and those extra miles really add up to a considerable cost savings. The car is also very comfortable, rides nice and has enough room to hold all my stuff. I really like the fold down passenger seat with the hard surface (don't know if yours has it). I use it as a desk when my car is used as my office - which is very often.

Glad you found one, at least. I hate to say it, but it's going to become more and more rare to snag good rides like the one you are enjoying. People are holding on to these cars. They know how economical and versatile they are, and today those two qualities are important. Welcome to the fray, and glad to hear your list of maintenance needs is a simple one. Gives me and my nearly 75k 2006 a lot of hope over the next few years. :)
Steelies to the rescue.

Ohio welcomes you :) Looking forward to pics when you get around to it :!: The Vibe is a very versatile little automobile and we all appreciated what it can do for us. You won't regret getting it. Again welcome and visit often ;)

Thanks to all for the warm Welcome!!

Gave the Vibe a bath last weekend...so I took some pics between the raindrops. It looks OK in the photos..in real life not quite as nice. The former caretaker...didn't, so I am trying to smooth off the rough edges...still not bad for 140K

Nice two tone Frosty! As long as it runs well, who cares if it no longer looks brand new!
