2003 vibe wouldn't start. Then an hour later it did? Confused

I went to start my 2003 Vibe this morning and it made a noise like it was trying to start but the engine wasn't turning over. I checked the connections to the started and battery and everything seemed ok, but still nothing.About an hour later, I went out and tried once more, and the engine was turning over but didn't seem to be getting fuel, so I pressed the accelerator and it fired up. I turned it off and restarted it several times with no problems.Any thoughts?
