OK so 2003 With m&tPut a new HU in , new speakers, sub & amp.Driving the other day started the car up and the sound was very tinny and quiet. Turned off the car started it again and it worked fine. Next time i started the car the same problem happened again and i could not fix it. Got home and adjusted the Scosche and turned down the gain to the factory amp. After this the problem seemed to be fixed. Yesterday driving could have sworn that the volume level was fluctuating a bit. Then this morning again same problem tinny sound with low volume. Whenever the stereo is turned on the speakers make a pop sound and i get some white noise, even with the gain turned all the way down on the scosche.Im thinking the factory amp might be pooched or it might be an issue with the scosche, although i am leaning towards the factory amp being blown. Thinking about taking the scosche out and testing it, and if thats not the issue then just wiring around the factory amp.Anyone else have this problem or have any insight into it?

The scosche is acting up and putting minimum gain on no matter what the settings are, good though scosche gave me an ra# and are going to warranty it though. Just have to decide when it gets back if i will put it back in or not.Edit:Well worked fine last night and on my way to work this morning until I parked at work today and it cut out. So thinking now either the factory amp is either not turning on or its gone caput. Will check turn on signal at the amp to see if its reaching it, if not then will just wire out the factory amp.

Update: second one, as i accidentally hit close and not post after i typed this the first time.ANYWAYS after the problem persisted after removing the scosche i proceeded to manually bypass the factory amp, thats when i got a dc offset error on the deck, which means that a speaker wire is grounding out. This never came up before as the factory amp got in the way of the deck sensing this problem. So anyways i found the problem speaker and think it was the connector, noticed some water on the back of the speaker and inside the door panel. got the stereo back in and settings back in and had the error come up once again, reset it and hasnt come back, i will pull the speaker back up and tape it up just to be 100% safe that its not grounding. Anyways that brings me to my delema, i took out the scosche and the factory amp, so therefore i have no factory tweeters although each midrange i replaced has a tweeter. So whats your opinoin? should i leave the scosche out and leave the factory amp bypassed or not?
