oh well.
Blanco_Diablo wrote:Do you have a theme in mind? Car name? Any sponsor logos to consider? Are you planning to paint or utilize vinyl graphics, or a combination? Is there a budget you had in mind? A lot of options out there for paint and finishes limited only by imagination and funds. With more info a few of us PhotoShop savvy members could mock-up some paint options for ya!
no theme yet but open for sugestions.
no car name either but we discussed definently not calling it the vibrator
.
one of my friend has a company and will be sponsoring us but i have never seen his logo yet. i keep meaning to get it for some stickers for the car.
we will pry utilize vinyl for most of the art on the car. just incase a few panels have to be replace along the way.
the budget is coming out of my pocket so yeah i would like to keep things simple when possible, but not going cheap on safety items. the wife hasn't complained about anything yet so i must be doing ok so far with what i have spent. i also fix cars on the side to make some extra cash.
the painting shouldn't be a problem or a real expensive part of the car. the guy i am building the car with can paint and his dad restores car. he has done some painting for me in the past on other projects.
definitly wouldn't mind seeing some photoshop ideas, i see a few from a few posts down and am getting some ideas from them.

lol. had to look this up cause i didn't know what it was. i started working with ford in 2004 when the development was going on for the new gt 40 and we had 2 of them painted like that. if i ever have to paint the whole whole car who knows it would be interesting to see, got to try everything once right.

if you're still looking for color suggestions, i'd like to suggest mustard yellow, with any accent work done in dark green. and all low gloss-shininess is overrated. i talked a buddy into this color combo on his little honda cafe racer project and it came out brilliantly.
thanks, my first car was a 84 mustang i had it painted yellow and later added a black stipe down the hood. the color code was from a ford ranger splash. i miss that car, it looked sharp being yellow. definently a eye turner.
for now i would like to leave it base black and add some color to it. but one day if it needs to be all painted i may go crazy and do something like this.
MrHatchWagon wrote:Just curious, are you going to put a racing seat on the driver's side too?
lol. should i ...j/k yeah that was just the day i got them and the passenger seat was already out so i threw it in to see it. waiting untill its painted to get some of the stuff mounted in the car, and trying to figure out how some other equipment will be mounted, like fire extinguishers and timer box.

+1, and I like the matte black triangle... things up front, by the wheel arches. I thought about doing that with mine. And that stripe down the side is very tasteful as well.[/quote]
i like it too. looking to break up the car being just black
well i think that everything i missed, again thanks to everyone who's following
