I Just got a quote for a Borla Axle back from Canspeed.com as described in Dereks' post. This is a little better than the $990 CDN for the TRD.Here is the e-mail:Rob...That cat back from Borla is special order, which means a 6 to 8 week delivery time and your cost would be $764.00 plus taxes and shipping. Thanks for the inquiryAl---------- Original Message ----------------------------------From: "Rob Vaillancourt" Date: Thu, 12 Sep 2002 10:44:17 -0400Hi,Looking for a price on the following Borla Cat Back:Vibe GT 180HP enginePart Number:140022Product Description:T-304 STAINLESS STEELProduct Type:CAT-BACK SYSTEMMake:TOYOTAVehicle:MATRIXModel:4 CYL 1.8L 180HPYear:2003Send response to hr.vaillancourt@sympatico.ca, I live in Sudbury and could go pick it up.Robert Vaillancourt--Canspeed.comPerformance TuningBy an Inch or a Mile....Winning is Winning !!!--

If your dead set on Borla by all means buy it but there are other exhausts out there with the same quality and performance for a cheaper price.Or you could be like me and make your own for 1/4 the cost.

Borla is quite a bit up there. I just go to Herks usually, and then do it myself. That way you can get high grade stainless pipes instead. But to every man his own opinion and way of doing things. Just glad to see more exhaust posts.

I 100% agree with buying what you want, (that's what I do so I keep myself happy), so I hope I don't offend anyone, but I just can't justify putting that much $$ in a cat back exhaust. I was thinking about taking the pipe off and running it up to a friend of mine who owns a muffler shop and seeing what he could make up for me.d_m_kolb, what are you running on yours?

If your friend is going to make it for you in his shop I'm sure you'll be happy with it. You should be very happy with the price. The GMD exhaust I have talked about is price around $400 for the next few months. Sound like a great exhaust and from what I have heard no other exhaust system can touch the sound this one produces.
