Head Unit remplacement

Hi all, I buy a Vibe 2007 yesterday and i already want to change the head unit. I want to know everything i need to make this change. do i need a mount kit ? a harness ? new cable ? any other thing ?did you got a DIY on this forum ?

Mount Kit - Highly recommended, makes it a world easier for everything to fit right.Harness - Also makes it much easier, you can just solder the harness wiring to your head unit's wiring, and plug the harness directly into the Vibe's old harness afterwards. Also very good if you plan on someday removing your head unit.Cable - Not necessarily. You should be okay with the wiring you have, plus harness. Unless you plan on installing a subwoofer.Other : The radio antenna adapter if you plan on listening to the radio at all. Good sockets w/ extension also very useful. If you want my recommendation, I'd check Crutchfield. They're a web site that has a large selection of car audio, and for orders over a certain price, they include all installation accessories plus a set of instructions. That means the mounting kit, harness, antenna adapter are included, as well as a wiring diagram and a set of instructions on removing the old head unit. Their prices may be a bit higher than other retailers for the head unit itself, but the extras they include give you your money's worth, as does their customer service.As for guides, there are great ones floating around the forum, as mentioned by jkm311.You thinking of going single-DIN or double-DIN?
