The New Neon SRT........

Any one checked out the new SRT..... I have heard that it will be offered in two additional factory upgrades. One is said to give it over 300 Hp...... And the msrp is supposed to be around $27 000.00 for the base srt. Man will that thing fly.....Site states base is 215 hp and 245 lb. ft torque. running a turbo at 15 lbs and intercooled. 0 - 60 at 5.9 sec..... Nothing on thier site as to the upgrades.....Pretty sweet car but it is still a neon....http://www.dodge.com/grab_life/news/car/srt4_streets

I have a friend who has an 02 Neon...she HATES it...she says buying it was the most regretful thing she ever did...

Most people i talked to hate them as well..... but with 300 hp some one is going to get killed realy quick.... the car can hardly handly the hp it has now...

From what I understand, you can add a Mopar stage 2 turbo to increase the horsepower. But, everyone has the same feelings I do...it's still a Neon.

you could swap out the engine, add body kits, turbos, etc. bottom line: it's still a neon. like they say, you can take the girl out of the trailer but you can't take the trailer out of the girl. why bother with the neon. it has no resale value and everyone knows its a POS.

I took one for a test drive. Very fast car. The interior materials are pretty cheap though. It was stickered under 20,000 though. Not bad for that much power. For me though, if it's not made by Toyota or Honda, I'm not buying it.

Every accident that I went to last year that involved a Neon, had at least one of it's occupants killed in it. I will never let any of my loved ones drive a Neon. Definatly not 'Ram Tough.'

I like the look! My buddy bought a new ('02 yellow) SXT last year, a month after I got my Vibe. They did do a lot of changes in the year, it looks like!

My gf's dad works at a dodge dealership in the body and paint dept.. He works on them all day and he got in my Vibe and he said that dodge has so much they have to do to match the quality of my vibe.
