They are good for a low price.. Now in my 4th winter and with 14000km on them. I would say based on the price, they are Okay. You could feel the traction and let you know their grip limits. They are good with deep snow but ice is so so .But now I found out why they are so cheap from Canadian tire. I should had go for the General Artimax Arctic insteadHere is why I made this assertion.Snow/Ice tire uses sipes on the tread. The depth of the splice is critical for ice traction to evacuate the layer of water on black ice. It seems to be a added cost for manufacture to include sipes in full tread depth. The GY nordic only has splice that is only 6/32 deep. Instead of full depth that applied on X Ice 2 and General Artimax. For some weird reason, the Pirelli winter craving also doesn't has the splice in full depth. So next time shopping for snow tires, beside checking online review, remember to bring a long a laminate card that acts like a depth gauge to see how deep the sipes are.Look at how it would look like after 5/32On the side note, Michelin Xice2 just replaced by X ice3, Therefore there are potential good deals around since this winter doesn't has much snow fall. Here are the compairson with Xice3 http://www.beyond.ca/preview-m....htmlScroll down and see how each tire worn after 4/32http://forums.beyond.ca/st/348...e-xi3/
