Main bearings on crankshaft

1-28-2012 electronic filed income taxes $450 refund now I can drop the oil pan & look at the damage I'm hoping this is it & I get a breather it's been a marathon of work just to get this vibe running up & down the road you don't get much for $1800 This darn vibe was so beat up when I first looked at it at 11 am I said wow, then I looked at 4 others from 3K to 4K more at 9 pm I came to realize I really only have $2000 saved up then the diamond in the rough looked good , patiently awaiting on refund I'm still working on photos to post at library if I had some help I almost did it myself I learned on YouTube how to from iPhone to computer download photos heck I'm 56 years old & only have 2 years of exp , "the history of the world is none other than the progress of the consciousness of freedom"

It might be better if you chose one thread about your vibe resurrection and replied to that instead of creating a new independent topic for every incremental update. Also the search tool here isn't the best, so please try to use better titles on your thread. This one is titled main crankshaft bearings and while it seems to not be about that at all, someone looking for useful info about those bearings will get this thread instead.

You are correct I will take photos of the crank and give a history of the return to the road on neglected 04 vibe & give advice on what not to do but one thing is for sure if I would have take go a repair facility I would have 4k more than it's worth
