They do have replacement aftermarket driveshafts for anyone that needs to exceed the limiter. He should have known about the driveshaft if he knew about defeating the limiter. Probably just didn't want to spend the money and was only going to do it "this one time" and figured it would be OK.Usually they limit the speed due to the tire ratings, not the drivetrain!

Doesn't really surprise me that a driveshaft would explode seeing how the transmissions themselves are apparently junk in the new Mustangs. Mating "American" muscle to a cheap Chinese transmission has not been kind to the blue oval.

Not to be too cynical, ( )because I love this blessed country, but in the US of A, we like to go fast in a straight line. We should want to learn to go fast around corners too...as a standard. Now I love me a Corvette (nothing against Ford...I've owned 3) any day of the week, don't get me wrong. I was always one for handling over power though [see: Lotus Exige]. But I think pure power is why a majority of the USA loves NASCAR while the rest of the world loves left and right turns, chicanes, dips, dives, hairpins, etc.But originally speaking of the Boss 302, the red stripes/wheels on black is a work of pure art. Blue and yellow (both custom??) didn't do it for me as much.
Why does it take a special make of a 3 series to keep up with a freaking mustang.Come on people. This is a none issue. If you buy a mustang v6 with the intention of tracking it uUpgrading the drive shaft isn't a big deal. Otherwise don't worry about it.
