Bought a 09 Vibe GT used and when I back out it feels like the wheel is "Catching" something and its much harder to turn makes a sound too when I turn wheel alot. Also turning to right feels "harder" then turning to left...Took this picture of the rear right well, could this be causing it?Bigger problem?Any help appropriated! Tim

The right fender liner on mine is about the same, with that section that sticks out on it. I have the same kind of thing, but mine is when I back out with my wheel turned to the left, it rubs on the left fender liner. I plan to jack the car up or put it on a lift and make sure all parts of the fender liner are fastened properly and not interfering with the tire one day soon. If the tire is rubbing on the liner, you should be able to see the place that it is rubbing on.As for it being harder to turn, that is strange. The steering is electric assisted, I don't notice any difference on mine.

Mine definitely makes a noise. Can't say mines harder to turn either, but it is louder.

Welcome About time someone from my town signs up on this forum ... AND you're also a Tim ... AND driving an 09 GT Anyways in answering your question. We don't have any issues like what you described BUT our Blue GT (which is tha automatic) has the higher mileage, was likely beat on pretty regularily, has a possible "rack" problem in the steering and you can slightly feel it when hitting bumps. Nothing alarming just yet BUT when comparing our two Vibe GT's the one (11k miles) is totally quiet where the other (39K miles) has some noticeable "bumpy" type noises.Start another post introducing yourself and post some pics of your new ride. Excellent choice for your car and visit here often .......... Tim
