What should I get fixed when at the dealer

Hi I am a short time reader, first time poster. Bought a 2009 Vibe GT a couple weeks back and am just about to hit the 36000 mile mark. I have a rubbing noise that gets louder as I go faster that I am taking in to the dealer to see if they can figure out what it is and hopefully fix it under 3/36k warranty. Is there anything else that I should try to get done while there? I searched through this section and didn't really see anything that stood out to me (other than maybe the recalled accel. pedal issue). Appreciate any feedback.PJN

My 36 months is up 1-11-2012. Only have 14,900 miles. Always had a rattle that seems to be coming from the front passenger door. Not sure it it is worth having them look at it.

I can't remember what the powertrain warranty is. Is it 5y/100k miles? Anyone have info on what exactly is covered?

Yes, powertrain is 5 years and I think 100,000 miles. In 5 years I will barely have 25,000 miles so that is not an issue with me. Matrix is only 3 years 36,000 miles.

I forgot to give an update on my noise. Even though I inspected the car, I overlooked the fact that I had a very large screw in my driver side rear tire. My wife saw it as she was following me to the dealer. So I left the car with them to look at the overly sensitive gas pedal and transmission "sometime not finding the right gear and all of a sudden downshifting" issue. They did tell me that I already had the replacement gas pedal installed, but I figure they will at least check the car out and perform any mandatory ECM updates. The dealer I took it to is a Cadillac/Buick/GMC dealer and came across as a bit dismissive of the issues I brought up. I will see how it goes and post update here.

I will see how it goes and post update here.Find out what exactly you had done regarding the gas pedal. First, they were supposed to "modify" the pedal, then if you weren't happy with it, they were supposed to replace the entire pedal assembly. After mine was modified, I didn't like how it felt and once they replaced the entire thing it felt alot better and wasn't as jumpy. You may also want to look into the "harsh downshift" issue as well. This would cause the "sometimes not finding the right gear and all of a sudden downshifting" issue you described.
