I was just looking on cars.com, and I saw a note that said there are 8 new vehicles available that match my search. So I clicked on the link and finally got to a search that shows 8 Vibes listed as new. 6 are at a Glendale WI Toyota dealership, and the other two are at another Toyota dealer and a Chevy Buick dealer. I'm thinking maybe they just haven't taken them off the site.Neat, but no way would I have paid their above new sticker asking prices!http://www.cars.com/for-sale/s...SULTSEdit; I had time so I looked at the VINs and they all have multiple records on carfax, so I'm sure it is another case of stupid listings on internet websites. And I though EVERYTHING on the internet was true!

IT doesn't seem that farfetched, its ust a car they havent been able to sell in , what, 3 years? Usually they want em gone after 2 but its not unheard of.

I have a vague recollection that there was a dealer in Wisconsin that had a lot of used Vibes - but these seem to be brand new. I also remember reading something about GM giving Pontiac dealers a substantial sum of money per car to take title to them - that started the warranty coverage, and they were then no longer considered "new" cars even if they only had 5 miles on the ODO. A lot of these 2009's will soon be 3 years old. You would have to be a REAL Pontiac fan to buy one of those instead of a new 2012 Matrix for about the same money. Others here may have a better memory.

Back in 2008 I was trying to talk my parents into buying me a Chevrolet HHR. That was what I wanted up until I fell into the Vibe. It was a 2006 black Chevy HHR 2LT every option, loaded, and chromed out. It had been on the lot for 2 years, that and a '06 Cobalt. The dealer was going to discount around 10,000 bucks, and it only had a few hundred miles. Obviously we didn't get it, but there could still be some new Vibes somewhere!
Note than none of those Vibes are advertised as "New". Somehow I think that dealer is going to have to do some serious discounting to sell those nearly 3 year old Vibes, and include a GM extended warranty. In Jan. 2009 I scored about $7,500 off a $19,480 msrp with dealer discount, some special $2,000 GM dealer incentive, $1,500 in GM rebates, and a $3,000 GM Card rebate. That was the perfect storm version of car deals. I even had a $250 loyal customer dealer discount that offset the $250 they charged for the infamous "documentary (title etc.) fees". What did you pile on to get the $7,700?

If you remember back in May 2009, GM sent out a desperate letter to all GM Cardholders stating that they can NOW use ALL of ther earnings toward eligible new GM Vehicles. I had $4650 in earnings Adding to this dealer incetives, GM discounts, etc, took the MSRP of $22700 down to my final sale price of $14900. Taxes bumped it up to $16100 of which I paid cash for the Vibe Like in your case, I will likely NEVER have an amazing deal like this ever again
I have been looking at a lot of new/used cars on cars.com lately and notice that sometimes the dealers fall asleep at the wheel and say something is new when it most certainly is not. With the two that have actual pictures, they do not seem new to me. Especially considering one of these has 34k on the clock. Probably rentals in a former life, which seems to be the norm for 09-10 Vibes you find on the used lot. (Same thing for ANY used car I've been looking at, I guess nobody trades in a privately owned vehicle anymore???)Perhaps someone could call the dealer in WI and inquire about theirs. Seeing that it is a Toyota dealer, I would hazard a guess that these are used as well.

I looked into it a bit more, and it appears to me that the listings have just been sitting there for a year or two I bet, while the cars were sold long ago. All of the ones at the Totota dealer say 5 miles, but if I run the VINs on carfax, they all have multiple records, 12-16 or something. That leads me to think they were sold, and the ad was just not deleted. Plus I ran their used and new car inventories, and these cars did not show up on their websites. And today, it looks like the car lot idiots are posting like crazy now. They added about 15 obviously USED Vibes to the NEW car listings in cars.com. I just thought it funny that there are still listings for "new" Vibes! I would have taken one of them, but only for about what I paid for my 2010.I was for a while looking at a new Hyundai Sonata and came across quite a few 2009 and 2010 cars at dealers too. Those were legit, and still on the dealer websites. All of the older model Sonata sales practically stopped when the new body style came out, I bet.

Silly car salespeople, can't put up an ad correctly... And hey, don't get me started on how too many of 'em can't take a decent picture of the cars either. Blurry? Out of focus? Post it!

Taxes bumped it up to $16100 of which I paid cash for the Vibe Like in your case, I will likely NEVER have an amazing deal like this ever again I have the "original" GM Card - max $500 a year max 7 years = $3,500. But the beauty is that each time I bought a Vibe ('03; '09) they had a deal where they upped your balance if you bought a car by a certain date. In Jan 2003 they upped my $850 balance to $2,003. In Jan 2009 they upped my $1,250 balance to $3,000. I still use my GM Card some each year in case sometime before the end of 2016 I have a need for a new car AND GM has something I might want. The '09 purchase was strange - the dealer advertised 4 - 1.8L Vibes with AT & Power Package at $2,000 under invoice. Two were charcoal, one white, and one black. I saw the ad in the paper 9 am on Sat morning Jan. 9th, called the dealer to make sure it was not a mistake and that my $3,000 GM Card rebate was valid, and was out there by 10:30 am to buy. They only sold 2 of the 4 that weekend. Apparently GM offered them a dealer incentive of at least $2,000 each to take those 4 off their hands.Twice I helped my sons buy a GM car each time with about a $1,250 balance. Their official address was with me so that worked. In one case I tried to talk my son out of that 2 door GMC Jimmy but that's what he wanted. I was pushing the Toyota Rav4 at the time. In retrospect he agreed I was right.
