STAGG Struts

Post by Platinum76 »

not sure if anyone has came across these... but STAGG SHS Struts seem to be a question on several other vehicle forums. They are about 150 bucks for the entire set and are supposed to be of higher performance caliber... If anyone has any positive feedback on these I would love to hear

nittanydoug and I were talking about STAGG struts but it seems theres not a lot of feedback about them. I wonder if they could be a good alternative to KYB GR-2's which are more expenisve? http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/...43556

Hey guys..I haven't been on here for years sold my 03' GT in 05..anyway the stepson has bought one(an 03 GT) I missed the UPS guy today, but we ordered a set of Stagg shocks/struts..cost $200something(included shipping to Alberta Canada) I will be installing them so will let you know.My current pocket rocket is a 04 Saturn Ion Redline(GM stage 2 kit, Typhoon CAI) It's a Mustang GT and Turbo Genesis killer..nice to see their faces when a piece of tupperware kicks a**. WIth stage 2 245HP plus whatever the CAI adds..Good to be back visiting after all these years.

I put on a set of STAGGS last month. I bought an old "03 Vibe that had a blown front strut and figgered "Id try em". Not nearly as soft as stock KYB's in compression and absolutely no rebound. Go over a hole and the tire never falls in from shocks, just the whole car falls in. Loud thunks and I'm sure rattley interior after a while. Don't waste your money. I shoulda just bought the single blown strut for 75. Actually at 145K miles all the other 3 felt fine. When I removed the spring they all rebounded from gas pressure still being good and when pumped up and down by hand, still had nice even feel. Oh well, I was the Guinea pig. Can't beat the KYB's is all I can say.

i just put some on a maxima that im selling and they suck ... i will never use this brand again . they are way to soft and through the range of travel they intermitantly have dead spots where you can move it for an inch or so with no resistance . the seals are not good enough stick . with tokico, kyb , or monroe....

on parts that actually matter go with trusted names . i mean you could bang a hooker with a glow in the dark condom but personally id use a trojen
