Y'all asked about the Delorean this weekend. The total to ship is way higher then I expected. Total after restoration, lowering and shipping... 8,478.43
Yeah! That's alot more than the $4000 you thought it was. WOW that's a pretty penny!Shadow Realm

hehehehehehe yeah that's true, but for an 80's car, it still looks pretty damn cool!!! And if i remember correctly, that 2.8L V6 is a Volvo engine right!?!? It's specs are not bad for 130 hp.

quote:a 2.8 V7 only put out 130? I have a 1.8 4 cylinder that does the same?Yeah, but your engine also has 15 years advantage in technology that was available at the time of development . Plus none of our vibes are making 153lb-ft of torque at 2750 rpm!

The original plan was for a 200+ hp twin turbo version but it never made it out of the prototype stage. There were some adtermarket kits available to add twin turbos but I don't know if they are still available.V7 is probably a typo. The original engines were Puegot/Renault/Volvo V6-cylinders.
I got scared everytime I got it up to 80. The guy I bought it from said to drive it slow... that way it will age better. Besides if you drive to fast you don't get to see everyone checking you out.
hmmmm Scared to get it up to 88 MILES PER HOUR!!! buuuha hahahhahahah (evil laugh!)

Volvo did indeed use it in a two door 700 series vehicle which turned out one piece of junk due to "the french" engine. In the 80' Volvo build 4 cilinder engines, the famous BF series!
GM is coming out with a 5 cylinder engine for the Canyon that is coming out in November 2003! It's based off the Envoy straight 6 and it will be offered with an inline 4 and inline 5. Inlines are coming back!Shadow Realm
