just wondering if anyone has experience or seen this done,I would like my tranny to shift alittle firmer, not a hard shift but alittle more solid than the stock "you never notice its shifting" feelthe question about the AWD is, is there any way to tune it with a programmer or physically go in and add more clutch plates or something to make it to where it is more RWD active, beause I notice the only time the rear tires slip is in really lose dirt conditions but if it is rainy and wet outside and i stomp on the gas just the front tires spin, any ideas?
The AWD system of the Vibe is actually a bit different than you think. The rear wheels only get power if the front wheels lose traction. Other than that its just another FWD car. Automatic transmission don't have clutches. If you have a few greenbacks you're willing to part with you could do a drive-train overhaul, but the rear differential on the Vibe is actually quite sensitive.
what about the tranny question? I know on some older autos you can change out springs and some newer cars you can use a tuner to adjust shifts and what not

It's a hydraulically activated system of wet clutch plates and friction discs that works very similar to a motorcycle clutch. If you feel like pulling the transmission apart you could add beefier springs or grippier clutch discs and plates.... but most of that is going to be a complete DIY ordering of said components from the companies that manufacture them.I'm not sure where the awd connection is made but I'm sure you could replace the viscious coupling with a locker or set of clutches... all custom built, of course.
