(Last Drive for 2011) Gotta love the unseasonably warm weather

Post by DiveNut »

It was 56F and sunny today, so my wife and I decided to take one last spin around town with the Duster before putting her away for the winter. We also took advantage of the warm day to put up the Christmas lights. It was awesome actually being able to feel my fingers while clinging to the ladder for a change! Here's a quick video my wife took to hold us over until spring....Not recorded was the preventive maintenance we performed on a few of the local roads, i.e. rubberized top coating the concrete.

Awesome Pat! The weather was indeed beautiful yesterday. I took advantage and got our winter wheels put on. It was nice being able to wash the 18s off outside with the hose, rather than spraying them with detailing spray in the garage. And the best part is... I did all this wearing shorts and a t-shirt !

You go Girl I'll be heading to the lake in a few hours for one final cleaning and "pre-winter checkup" before the place hibernates for the winter. Not sure if I'll take one of our Vibe's or my F-150. If I feel I have LOTS of stuff to haul then it will be the F-150, otherwise it will be junior's Vibe. Then when the rain arrives (6pm Toledo time) and the cold temps start to return, I'll be inside doing house work

The rain has started here already. It's just drizzling and it's still pretty decent temperature-wise for now anyway.

Thanks Carrier. Sure was a lot better than what we're dealing with today. Sad to think we'll be dealing with the white stuff soon. Take Care,Pat

yep, 70 wonderful degrees here in the Delta Quadrant. Lots of tennis, basketball and now it is time to make some kabobs on the grill. Here's hoping that La Nina continues to deliver. And yes, the Caretaker owned a '69 Plymouth Valiant. Slant 6: best ever.
