I have a 03 Base vibe that has a engine clicking sound. I was possibly looking into getting a new engine but was wondering what engines are compatible with my car. The ones on ebay says the 03 corolla engines aren't compatible with my car, also the 04-08s aren't compatible. Is this right ?or mistaken info?

hmmmm new engine huh? thats a bummer. I wonder if the engine could be repaired instead of having to a new engine? Maybe it needs a vavle job or a new timing chain/adjusment? Although I'm not too privy of the repair procedure for a vibe with a ticking engine or high milage. Is it high milage? Goodluck,Matt
180,000 miles at average 35 mph = 5,143 hours running time = 214 DAYS.When you look at it that way engine durability doesn't seem so great. If you drive 6 hours a day that is 71 months. I calculated my average usage at about 20 minutes a day over the past 46 months. At that rate I ought to get another 40 years out of my engine. [That would be my Vibe engine - my personal engine ain't gonna last another 40 years ]
