Rear window defrost only half works

I have an odd glitch with my Vibe. It seems that only half of the rear window defrost actually works. I've noticed it a lot, so it can't an isolated incident. Everything from fog in the summer nights to ice, only the top half of it gets cleared up. Has this happened on other Vibes? I did a search, but nothing came up for it. What could cause this, and what will need to be done to fix it?Thanks!

Some of the wiring may be broken in the glass. I guess its wire, whatever it is. On my previous car most of them (defrost lines) would work, but only a few here and there wouldn't work all the way across.

You can buy paint to patch the lines. My dad has it. You have to mask it off so it'll be straight though. lolThe dealers could have taken some of mine off with their dealer paper tape. Fortunately it came off clean, but they really should be more careful with that.I don't know how well my defrost works. I haven't gotten the glass to fog up and I'm not sure how I could make this happen in order to test it. XD
