low idle vibration, ac connection

Post by campb292 »

I read through several threads about the low idle vibration. I see there are many possibilities, but wanted to add in the one caveat I have found: I noticed recently the idle has been low, around 500-600 rpm and i get the usual vibration others note. As soon as I move forward, smooth again. At a stop, while it is idling low and vibrating, if I turn on the AC I notice the idle smooths out and the rpm increases to 800-900. Would this point more toward a battery or alternator issue? Thanks for any ideas.

Sounds like a VAC leak.
