Varible Valve Timing

Post by mysticbluevibe »

Since changing the vvt oil filter may presumeably become scheduled maintenance, I'll try posting this one here. Can anyone help me with the location of the aforementioned in a 2009 2.4 Vibe?? It's fairly tight in there so I'd won't start guessing. Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks, I looked. This diagram seems to point to changing the vvt valve. While good info If the valve needing attention, I don't think I'll get involved with handling that expensive item til I need to. I'm assuming the "filter and seal" are nearby.......almost there. more later

Glad I don't have a 1.8. However I may be in for a surprise when I locate the procedure for filter replacement in a 2.4...
