Greetings from a new member

Post by P POPPR »

As of last night I've become one of you. Picked up a 2004 and tried to register at MYGMLINK.com only to find that they haven't made the 04's online information available yet. I was impressed by the fact that I received an email from them within 10 minutes of the note I sent them asking when it would be available. Looked like it was from a real person too.Any hints or suggestions for a new owner?

Congratulations! I think Abyss looks the best, but I'm too lazy to keep a black car clean. Welcome to genvibe.quote:Any hints or suggestions for a new owner?Enjoy! and post some pixThere was a problem some of us 2003 owners had where the temperature control cable was not properly adjusted at the factory, and it was a simple fix. If you find that your AC is fine, then nevermind, but if it doesn't seem cold, then check out http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1315 There was also a problem some auto owners had where the little cover for the shift lock override switch wasn't installed. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=369 If you didn't get one, you should have.

Welcome aboard! There's going to be a big Vibe rally in Columbus, OH on August 23rd. If you're interested in meeting some of the GenVibe crew, and taking a road trip to enjoy your wonderful new car, consider coming out!It will also be a chance for you to see how others have customized, modified, and just plain decorated their Vibes...I'm probably coming all the way from NJ!Details here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5256
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

The only "mod" I have planned so far is to tint the 5 rear windows. I swore I'd never have another black car but my wife fell in love with, "That car, in that color, with those wheels"

Looks good! Give it several coats of wax NOW before anything can happen to the picture perfect finish!

quote:You are able to get 17" Wheels now with the Moon Roof?Holy ****, this is new to me... Please do tell how you were able to swing this.. My dad owns GM so it was no problem. We thought it was dumb to not allow 17" rims with a moonroof. There was no logic to that so he just told the Pontiac division to make the combination available to buyers for the 2004
