Hmmm. Im starting to like the idea of de-badging. I have been looking for cheap ways to clean up the exterior & thats one way. I removed the pinstripes this month & im happy with the look. Next step will be a debadge!Hey WaveAction what color is your vibe? Great color!

...I don't know about the model name de-badging, but one of the things I DID immediately was remove the dealership nameplate and badges...MY car is not THEIR 4-wheel billboard!

Ya...I have debadge every car I have owned (15 and counting). I just like the clean look. The only exception was my 72 Nova, replaced the 350 emblems with 307's

It was hard as hell to get off, but after a total of about three hours I finally got it all off. Than about a month later I had to turn around and remove the same sticker from my mom's new '09 GT which took another three or so hours, but again, it was well worth it.

I only debadged the rear of the car. I left the Vibe logos on the doors.

I am at work, so no pics here and none of the website pics pull up...all are blocked...BUT, I debadged last weekend. I scratch up the back and then found 2 holes under the Pontiac symbol! So, I put a football teams logo over it, which looks pretty smooth. I then ordered paint touch from http://www.automotivetouchup.com and used the clear coat after it. It looks ever worse! I did get the correct paint, but am not sure how I screwed it up. I will put picks on soon after it's first wash. Good luck.

My front badge is cracked in two places. Must have taken a direct hit from a stone or something. Question: how is the hood badge held on? Mine is an 07 BTW. I would like to replace it. If anyone who has "debadged" would like to get rid of theirs, I would take it off your hands.

Just debadged my 2009 today. Sat outside in the sun at only about 75 degrees for several hours. Used dental floss to work behind it. It came off so well I probably didn't even need to use the Goo Gone. I wiped it down with Windex, then Goo Gone, then Windex again.Easiest $50 bucks I ever saved (that was the quote from the detail place).

Kincaid did you remove the rear emblem? If you did how did you fill in the two holes?

To my knowledge very few '09-'10 owners here have de-badged their hatches and I don't think any of us that have have removed the arrowhead badge due to the two holes that are underneath. The only "proper" way to get rid of the holes would be to weld them and of course that would require quite a bit of work, in addition to having to re-paint the entire hatch. Not worth it at all in my opinion.

That's right, I did not remove the Pontiac arrow. For one thing, I like it. It is one of the better car maker symbols out there and is now a sign of something that no longer exists. And I didn't want any holes to deal with!

I backed my T&C Van into an unmarked police car - first accident I have had since I was 17. Damage was to hatch door. I finally got a body shop estimate today. It was going to cost me $43.75 plus tax to replace the "Town & Country" badge on the rear hatch. I told the guy I would forgo that bit of trim. Total will then be under $700. Not even going to bother making an insurance claim as I have $500 deductible. The police vehicle was a Ford Expedition. Not much damage to it.

I removed mine from the back using the power of the TX sun and waxed dental floss. I peeled the remaining grey, fuzzy adhesive with my nails, but there was ...other stuff on it, probably from hard water and dust. I tried scrubbing it off with Goo Gone, but it didn't help too much. I used Pledge Multisurface and managed to get most of it off, and then scraped everything else off with my thumbnail.
