I got a 09 2.4 Auto. I got a 2 weeks before my b 2 b warranty expire. I done a 800 miles road trip yesterday and today I do a visual walk around.I discover the flat side of the V belt start chipping away. Anybody have the same problem? I would look for any pulley or perhaps tensioner not lining up.

3/8" cut length from the edge of the belt. The cut direction is from the fender to the engine. I could see the first ply (layer of wire).I wish i could ignore it but I found that it is PITA to take the belt out given in this such small space, 3/4" gap from the frame rail to the pulley.
Something may have bounced off of the road and got ran through the belt... Best to buy a new belt and do the inspection of the pulleys when you replace it!
Its pain on the (removed) to make the belt rotated back to the cut mark..Looks like the cut is pretty localize, so I don't think a systematic failure such as misaligned pulley. If something not line up right.. there should be grounding mark showing like a segment of the belt is damage rather than a spot.
I am amazed with how a box of donuts could help speed things up when you asking other people for a favor..Parts in order and with machine rotors.. all cost $0
