uncommon maintenance

Post by Nitr0 »

this is all for an 04 vibe AWD I want to do a tune up for my car myself, I saw a thread in here about the OCV filter for the VVT-i and someone posted a thread with some other tips for uncommon maintenance, anyone else got some other ideas? as long as its not real expensive, and also if I take the throttlebody off to clean it what is needed to do that? a gasket? anything else anyone can think of to increase performance and/or MPG gains would be appreciatedthanks, Nick

You don't need to take the throttle body off to clean it. If you really think your TB and top end need a good cleaning try the Seafoam spray its pretty good stuff. Just spray it in there real good let it sit for a while then fire it up and run it through the gears. I would do this before I change the plugs and oil. http://www.seafoamsales.com/sea-foam-spray.html

well my point to taking it off is that I want to scrub it clean and be able get all the crap OUT of it and it not just get sucked into the engine and um something else up
