I got 6 months for $25 and when I called to buy it, they offered me 5 months of premium (all channels) for $30 so I took that instead.

Minus when I'm going into a thick wooded area or if I'm wedged between two tall buildings, but thats few and far between. Its far superior quality to FM. I'd be lost without my XM!HMM. Wonder if I can get a discount since I'm paying for a year, but yet its free for two weeks. "ADD ON TWO WEEKS TO MY XM, since I'm paying for "free" music!

BUT, I will NEVER pay full price. I did that for 3 months, and called to cancel where I was offered a deal. I explained I was a poor college student, so I couldn't pay 200 a year. The rep told me that they ALWAYS have specials, just to ask for them. "WILL DO!"

In December, i will have finished my 3rd year of lifetime XM. At 36 monts into $419, that's $11.64 per month. After X-mas, the rest will be icing on the cake. Just don't ask me what happens if something goes wrong with the Vibe's radio. I kinda shut my eyes on the dirty details such as that, as well as what the cost of a transfer to another car would be. If anybody knows, please fill me in. The goof who took my order 3 years ago had no clue. I only closed the deal because XM was offering $100 off the normal lifetime price, and I can't stand today's commercial radio.

(one at a time of course)I have lifetime on my XM Roady which I use in the car, office, home, and garage. I wouldn't pay for a car subscription unless I was in the car at least eight hours per day.

Remove it from the vehicle and now it becomes "stolen" ...... I think you get my point. Here is the paragraph from the agreement:9. Lifetime Subscription Plan: A "Lifetime Subscription" is one that continues for the life of the Receiver equipment. Lifetime Subscriptions are nonrefundable. Non Automotive Receivers: A Lifetime Subscription associated with a home, portable, or dock & play Receiver is transferable from one Receiver to another Receiver, up to a maximum of three (3) times. For each permitted transfer of a subscription from one Receiver to another or from one person to another you will be charged a transfer fee set forth in this Agreement. Automotive Receivers: A Lifetime Subscription is not transferable if it is associated with a Receiver installed in a vehicle by an automaker or an automotive dealer, except in the event the original Receiver associated with that Lifetime Subscription is stolen, accidentally damaged or if, in the sole discretion of Sirius or XM, it is defective. For each permitted transfer of a subscription from one person to another based upon a stolen or accidentally damaged Receiver you will be charged a transfer fee set forth in this Agreement. No transfer fee will be charged for the transfer of a Lifetime Subscription associated with a Receiver installed by an automaker or an automotive dealer if, in the sole discretion of Sirius or XM, the Receiver is defective. Also here are the current fees (as of August 2011) for transferring:Transfer Fee: If you transfer a Subscription from one Receiver to another or from one person to another, you may be charged a transfer fee of $15 for all but Lifetime Plans. If you transfer a Lifetime Subscription Plan from one Receiver to another or from one person to another the transfer fee is currently $75.00.I too have a lifetime on my Vibe but own my vehicles for a very long time so I figured in my case, it was worth it

thanks very much for your thoughful posts. I'm sadened that I cannot transfer it even once. How about this logic: if I buy a new car and have that car put under my Vibe as an XM slave (ie: $8 a month?) and then sell the Vibe to someone. The XM stays on the Vibe, and I get billed only $8 per month for the new car. OK, what am I missing???

They'll never know and is totally irrelevant to the operation of the radio. They will work with you as they do not want to lose any customers. This should work unless they already have you on file with a different story and it would be too late to "change it up" a bit. Good luck
