I've been waiting for mail that I never got, including sensitive information. Strangely, yesterday I got a letter saying "it's time to renew my medical." I didn't know I had medical. Since my medical enrollment letter, "opt-in", cards, and everything else never got delivered, as well as mail from credit bureaus, who can I make a complaint to? Having a rental unit neighbor under the neighborhood watch radar screen doesn't help my nerves any, and a P.O. box is not an option.
They make security mailboxes. Check with your Post Office. The mail carrier has a key to open the unit, you have a key to get your mail. If you are being robbed, it is the only option you have short of a PO box. Some just have a slot for incoming mail.... Cost a few $$'s but if security is a concern it may be your only option.http://www.mailboxixchange.com....htmlDave
These are locked apartment mailboxes. The problem is the mail is being put in the wrong boxes. CONSTANTLY.I feel like getting a copy of my credit report now because of this. But if you order one, does it have all your sensitive info on it when they send it to you (in case that ended up in the wrong mailbox too?!)

If this is true, you need to go to your Post Office and have a heart to heart talk with them. Do you have any proof this is happening? Have you gotten other's main? Have others handed you mail belonging to you that they had in their boxes? You just can't go in accusing without some sort of documented history.Dave
I just noticed a white business size envelope on my front lawn. Picked it up & saw it was a bank statement or credit card statement addressed to someone 1/2 mile away. I suspect it fell out of the mailman's pouch. I'll put it back in the mail. I often get mail that is addressed to someone else - also find mail in my mailbox later that was probably put there by someone who got my mail by mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, but this happens pretty frequently. Years ago I had a P.O. Box that was used only for entries in sweepstakes drawings that I administered for companies. I'd often find mail in there that was meant for a different p.o. box. One time it was someone sending a rent check.

I always check my online copy and don't request it mailed to me.
