New trans and gear.

Post by mac99d »

Well with my adventures in California while driving in the mountains my clutch took a dump. So I opted to go ahead and upgrade. I bought the MWR Trans with the Axle ratio of 3.941:1 rather than 4.529:1 it is quiet different still got some more break in miles to do before i can get on it hard but lay down the toe slow and it pulls nice. The clutch def has some chatter but is going away more throttle is need to go lol I have stalled it twice now in traffic. I also put on some slow down on too I will post it in the breaks area.Pressure PlateClutchThe new fly wheel

How dare you cheat on the CO mountains in CA! You should be ashamed of yourself. BTW, when are we having our CO mini-meet?

More power to ya for being able to do this yourself. Kudos. Kudos, indeed.

great choice on the upgrade. Did you pick the one that came with a LSD already installed? It is something i have considered for a while now for the packaged price with the longer gears.

Yes it has the TRD LSD. The old one had the MWR one which was nice but the TRD works better. So far loving the longer gears. Mileage is already up. Won’t really get a good account one how good until me trip home and some city driving. I can’t really compare mountain driving with the city. I will keep you all posted.
