My 2007 has the hole for a cigarette lighter outlet in the center console but it looks like there was never an outlet in it. I went to Pepboys and picked up a "universal" dash mount outlet and it was a near-perfect fit. The hole had to be trimmer a hair but it is even keyed to properly fit. The install looks OEM. The plug is even under the center console for the power to the outlet. As my Dad puts it, this is where GM saves their $.10 per car X 100,000 cars....

I think you are referring to the one inside the center console, and there are several of us (including myself) who have added this. I believe it came in the '03-'04 models, but they stopped putting it in for '05 but kept the wiring the same.

Yup, 05+ did not get them. There is a theory about pennies falling in the slot. I installed one using Genuine Toyota Parts as my first "mod." Cost about $20 back in '05. I haven't used it since '06 though...
