Looks like you got some good results. But you're not likely to get good results from a clear coat spray can, unless you are very good and in doors. The clear coat overspray should come off easily. Use some Dupont #7 polish.

I just wish I'd done it more slowly so that I could have overlapped the strokes a bit better Thanks for the advice, I'll probably try and pick some up tomorrow.

I went about it a different way... Had a couple of cracks filled on the windshield a couple months ago, and one was so big, it finally expanded to a third of the whole window, so last week i got the windshield replaced. I made sure it had the dot matrix in front of the mirror as well as down the passenger side, but this also had the visor strip along the top. Score!

It was a little hick town with maybe two cops. Their city limits go WAY outside of the city, so the speed limit was still 40 and not 55, but I was on open road. I never go more than 10 over.

Do you have the option of taking a defensive driving course in AR? It's still a PITA, kind of, but does reduce the amount you end up paying, and keeps your insurance costs in line too.

I can go to court, and be put on driving probation, so if I don't get a ticket within a year it won't go on my license. Though, the thought of court kind of scares me lol. This is my first ticket in almost 5 years of driving.

This is my first ticket in almost 5 years of driving. In that case you'll have a good case for driving probation. But just for good measure:http://lifehacker.com/software...1.phpI dread cops so much, I panic whenever a Crown Victoria or beige Charger (yeah, my local PD has a beige Charger...), or black/white Charger or even lowered Tahoe enters my vision. I never like to be over the speed limit. 5mph tops, unless traffic is moving about 63 in a 55, in which case even my drivers ed teachers told me to go with the flow of traffic to avoid risk.

Thanks for the link. I was overly nice of course. He was a young cop so OF COURSE I got the ticket. I normally do 10 over all of the time, unless there are walking pedestrians. He told me "I'm okay with 10 over." But im sure he would've pulled me over for that too. Oh well..

The Vibe and I have been busy this weekend...Yesterday morning we hauled 3 5 gallon buckets and 2 gallon jugs of used oil, along with 3 gallon jugs of used anti-freeze to the local health department for recycling. Didn't spill a drop I might add .When we got home, I gave it a wash, followed by a clay barring, followed by another wash and finally a coat of Nu Finish Scratch Doctor. I also wiped down the engine compartment, detailed the interior and installed my new $99 sticker .This morning I got up early and did the second and final coat of wax (Mother's Pure Caranuba Wax). Then I did the 25,000 mile oil change, checked all the fluids, inflated the tires to 32 psi and the spare to 60 psi, checked the lug nuts and cleaned the air and cabin filters.I also did the 25,000 oil change and all the other maintenance stuff on my mom's Vibe as well.Needless to say, I'm exhausted. I'm off to take a nap !

I haven't driven my Vibe in over a week *sniffle* but it's put over 1,000 miles on it for business driving in that time- my husband is a videographer who has been using it to commute to his various jobs across Chicagoland, since he has a lot of gear (and since the Vibe is technically the business car). And I don't get it back for a whole 'nother week! *sigh*

It's ridiculously hot and humid . The humidity is what makes it really bad.

My mom's Vibe turned over 25,000 miles Sunday. Mine turned over 25,000 miles yesterday.I just ordered what I hope is indeed the part I am looking for from GM Parts Direct. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a goody for the Vibe from eBay.

I debadged the doors! Camogirl's Vibe is what pushed me to do it. The first was a REAL paint, but the second was significantly easier. Maybe b/c of experience, maybe the fact that I used waxed floss on this door, or maybe that this one had been baking in direct sunlight. Either way, I'm happy that they're off! Now I'll find a spot to put them!

Gotta get on my friends here at home so I can send these badges off like I promised!----------------AND installed the K&N Drop in filter that arrived in the mail yesterday and installed a new cabin air filter. Pretty sure it's never been replaced or cleaned. NASTY!! There were pieces of what looked like the foam filter at the top, but it was intact on the outside. Anybody know what I should call this to get a new one?EDIT #2: As I hoped, the replacement of the cabin filter fixed the issue I was having with the air not coming out of the vents at proper speeds. I now have FULL ON AC!! WHOOP WHOOP! Not a moment too soon since I've been enjoying a week and a half of 110 degree days, and its supposed to cool off tonight lol. Oh well, I'm proud because I accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it!Also need to replace front brake pads. will do that while wheels are off for painting and while its taken apart, I'll spray the calipers too
