If I leave my Vibe parked on the street, my town requires a town parking sticker (I actually paid more to garage park it to avoid putting the stupid sticker on). However, if I do put it on, has anyone ever found something to remove the sticker and glue?Any guidance would be helpful.

I had a parking warning sticker put on my window while away on a business trip. The sticker was designed not to come off. I went to Wal-Mart and got a glass paint scraper, and it came right off, glue and all. Paint thinner or car tar remove would get any possible remaining glue off.

There's a product out there called "Goo Gone".I've used it on all kinds of stickers and glue and it's never failed yet. No scratching just rub with a cloth. It's also pretty cheap.

I was looking at both Goo Gone and Goof Off at Lowe's. One of them (forget which) has a regular and a "Professional Strength". The professional strength says "extremely flammable" so ti is probably solvent based. The other is just a skin & eye irritant - I would not expect that to work as well. There are websites for both that provide more information than the labels.

Since the sticker would be on glass, I would personally use a razor blade to remove the sticker itself, then use the razor blade along with some WD 40 to remove any leftover residue.

We found it cheaper to purchase one season state park pass than to keep purchAsing individual passes every time we went up. We bought one permit, and bought the 'sticker shield' . You put the sticker on this and can remove it and move it to another part of the window, or to another car easily

used to live in a town that had the stickers to park on the street, thankfully moved out of there before i had the vibe so never had to put any on her. on the other vehicles i drove while living there whenever i had to remove a sticker i would use a razor blade and liberal amounts of windex. didn't want to be one of those people with year after year of sticker on the windscreen. just one is more than enough for me.

On paint? Use WD40 It will dissolve the glue, leave the paint absolutely unmarred. It'sCheap, you probably already have a few cans of it and it has many other good uses as well.Dave

Was thinking it was a windshield sticker. That's what the sticker shield is for. Mounted inside the car, on the windhield. Then the sticker can be removed easily or moved from one windshield to another

I used WD 40 to remove the badges on my hatch and it doesn't hurt the paint at all. Hopefully the sticker isn't too big and doesn't leave much residue behind. You should be able to just carefully remove the leftover adhesive using the WD 40 and your fingernails. A hair dryer might also help to soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove.

it is (one of) the stupidest rules in the world-which was why I did not want to get the permit to begin with.I do have wd-40, and anything that will not damage the paint is my choice-so once again, thanks for all the guidance
