GReddy Exhaust

Post by dmitri »

Well i went to the show and it seems alot of people likes my open exhaust but said it was loud, still a nice sound tho. I think soon im going to get a system, and bolt in my straight pipes only when i go to the track. Anyone have the GReddy? Does anyone know when the magnaflow exhaust will come out?

Hey dmitri, I finally made some progress with my "throttled straight pipe"! I got a stainless blade cut out and painstakingly file-fitted into the stub pipe I'm going to weld in upstream of the muffler on the right side. I also ground a mounting flat on a stainless 1/4" bolt to act as the throttle shaft and then decided it's too flimsy, so tomorrow I'll pick up a 3/8" one and maybe get it finished and welded on. From your report it seems like the sound should be quite wicked, but I'll be able to go back to stock at the pull of a lever whenever it gets on my nerves! Will post pix when complete.

Yeah, we have laws like that for our permits...but I thought when you got the license that all changed. But I've been licensed for almost 5 years...maybe things changed since then. *shrug*

(oops! -bad pun!) At your age I was riding a race bike on the street and I had to stretch my leg back and jamb my foot in the megaphone exhaust if I wanted to keep a low profile...

I had a 1,000 cc British Vincent V-twin, the world's fastest stock motorcycle at the time, when I was 17. My parents were sure I'd kill myself and tried to get me to take up skiing instead, like the rest of the family. The irony was I never got more than a bit of pavement rash with the bike, while both parents and all four siblings eventually broke bones skiing...

heh..sorry to hear that..Im ready for it, i used to really push it on dirtbikes a few years ago but then needed a bad hospital visit. I work at the hospital so i see sh*t like u said alot. I seen alot of really bad fatal motorcycle accidents around here. Newark, NJ has some of the craziest motorcycle street racing anywhere. Hundreds of people out there watching and racing , and sometimes it dont turn out aite
