So I have been lurking in the shadows for about a month now and have decided to finally post. I bought a 2010 Vibe GT in June, slightly used, and love it. Though this was expected since it is NOT my first Vibe. My first car was a gift to me, 03 Vibe with 120k miles but it was free so who cares. When tragedy struck I bought my first mistake. Now I decided to go back to Ponty. Pictures and story explanation to follow (soon I hope).first car, sorry only pics I have are after the tragedy.okay so 6 months after I go this I was rearended at a redlight. so a month later after getting my insurance check i bough this. With the price of gas and insurance due to my age I decided a sports car wasn't the best idea.
Welcome! Good call on ditching the Mustang for the Vibe GT ! The Vibe is sporty and fun, while still maintaining great gas mileage, cargo room, decently priced insurance, etc. Do you have any plans for mods for the Vibe? Looking forward to seeing pictures.

But Ill be doing a new system for sure soon as I figure out which damn wire harnesses I need and all that junk. Only mod (if you want to call it that) that will be done right now is neon undercar because I had it from before.

My Vibe takes up the majority of my monthly income, but it's money well spent for sure.Quote, originally posted by Losthookah »what do you all think of it?Very nice! Of course I am a bit biased though . Quote, originally posted by Losthookah »theyre nice GT feature hehe. was gonna get the baby blueish one but no sunroofEveryone always thinks the wheels are aftermarket. They are stunned when I tell them they're factory .Mystic Blue Metallic is a very nice, unique color, but a sunroof is definitely a must have. Good call on that one !

Nice to see another Ohio Vibe GT on this site If you're going to eventually change out the head unit, check with Michelle "ponta" as she's just about pulled all her RED hair out trying to do a similar mod to her 09 Vibe and has not quite succeeded. Always look here for advise before wasting any valuable time tearing your ride apart

"There are 1 2010 PONTIAC VIBE FWD 'GT' vehicles (0.141%) matching your exact options list. There are 1 (0.141%) with at least as many options"wow fun little VIN search http://www.compnine.com/vid.ph...05261
sorry havent been on in awhile Kitt but ill take some pics of the setup got everything I needed at Pepboys costs around $20 depending on the switch you get. Should only take you about 20-30 minutes to install
Use a screw driver to poke a hole big enough to push the LED throughThen run the wires to you desired location I did mine right above the gauge clusterAdd you switch and wire it's power to the cig lighter and your good to go
Had an accident about 3 days ago now which has totally changed the future of my ride. GM wants $600 PER wheel for new rims and seeing as this one is toast and another got a small bend, I think its time for some new rims
Quote, originally posted by Losthookah »GM wants $600 PER wheel for new rims Ouch !!!!!!!! This is very similar to what my drivers side front wheel looked like a few months ago. NEW (not used) rim and NEW tire only ran me in the $500 range mounted, TMP sensor, balanced, etc. I'd try to stay with the original GT rim if possible. Let me know if you want me to forward you the places I dealt with on getting mine replaced. My insurance guy allowed me to buy direct and they reimbursed me after my deductible. I was quoted "reconditioned" from my local GM dealer and yet I got everything for LESS by purchasing it myself and it was NEW. I had NO suspension damage (lucky break there!). Hope this helps ..........
Ouch! If you want to save money, there is a member selling several sets of the 18" wheels from their fleet vehicles since they are replacing them with smaller wheels and tires. Might be at least worth a call.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=45871

Thanks for the info tpollauf, but knowing that this happened to someone else just adds to my worries. Today I took the wheel to school and we dismounted it from the rim and discovered that they arent made all that well, and after taking hours scouring the area that it blew out and finding no potholes or debris that could have cause this we decided that aftermarket is not only cheaper but also more safe in our opinion of course.
