So i've got a whining noise coming from the A/C compressor when i'm speeding up. when i'm idling or going at speed, it's fine. probably still whining, just not as pronounced. could this be the compressor clutch slipping? i turn the A/C off when i'm speeding up now to keep it from dying or something.
You're certain it's the A/C? I don't know if they all have it,... but my 03 with navigation has speed compensated volume. If the volume is down all the way I get a whine audiable from the radio/sensor.
mine doesn't have that feature. i have am upgraded head unit that doesn't have that feature. the stock radio didn't either. i had my auto tech teacher listen to it, and of course it don't make any noises...
I'm noticing the same (I guess) noise from my A/C. It's not speaker noise, it's a low-pitched whine that matches engine speed and coincides with the A/C kicking in and out. Is this the sound of a compressor dying?
