Bringing a 07 back to life (picture heavy)

Post by bringjustn »

This might be a bit of a repeat of what I posted in my first post in the lounge (my introduction) but I want to have my own thread tracking my progress. This is what she looked like at the auction lot.all for only $4500Bringing her home...I am glad my friends buy way to big of trucks... go F-350's for pulling a trailer (the truck laughed at me when I loaded up the vibe)Now for the pics before I pulled her into the garage to wait for partsvnot sure why there was disposable hazmat suits in there, but they will work nicely for flats )Not picturedbut in the car was both fenders, side molding, inner fenders, headlights and bolts. The damageand my shop catJust got my "gray" bumper assembly... sadly in Minnesota gray is also known as silver, so I have to get the bumper painted glad that adds about $500 more to the job Will take pics tomorrow or this weekend

guess I better update this since she is on the road now... and has been for about a month......in my defense I ran off to Honduras in the middle of the rebuild..... I did see a 2003 for sale though... so tempting to pick it up.... such a long drive though... any who more pictures.....decided I might as well paint the grilles go me, I managed to bust the glass on one of the fogs.... so I decided instead of buying a new one to use some silicone and lexan to fix... running strongtest fittingstill looks silver to menew frame horns onwho knew this isn't a legal plate....action shot'sgrinding blanket

Going to the scrap yard to see what I can find tonight. Any ideas what late model horns sound good? The super tones are more than I want to spend. I'm looking for less than $5

This is my 9th rebuild I think. If I remember when I get home I'll post the cardomain of my sebring I repaired last. That started off much worse.

Nice, man. I threads like this, they are few and far between on Genvibe due to the general new-ness of our cars. Nice to see some of the guts, the meat & potatoes if you will Best of luck with the build. I'm wanting a cluster with lights like yours. I have an '03 and it's got the sucky "all orange" color scheme going. Jealous.
