2003 vibe overdrive button

Post by black2003vibe »

I have a 2003 2WD Vibe that had a bad OD switch in the Gear Shift Knob. I pulled it apart and found damaged wire. I repaired the wires and tested the switch out of the car, and the "momentary" switch is good. After putting it all back together, it still will not turn off the OD. The OD works, and is "on" all the time...which I suppose is better than being off. But I pull a small trailer with this car and need to turn off OD when doing so.Does anyone have any suggestions on the next step in diagnosing this problem? Thanks ahead of time.Greg

welcome to genvibeHere's a PDF of the electrical portions of the auto trannyLooks like the O/D switch just passes a ground to the computer.

Wow! Great! Where'd you get that so fast? Thanks for the info - looks pretty simple. I'll have to trace that wire. There must be an open in it somewhere. Thanks again...
