Hi there. Someone from a car audio forum said I should pop over and join. Didn't know there was a Vibe specific forum, this is pretty cool.Just bought my Certified Pre-Owned silver '09 Vibe about 2 weeks ago. I enjoy driving it and love the gas millage, about 27-28MPG combined. Haven't done a road trip yet, but expect it to perform well. It's sure is a change coming from a mini-van, but one I'm enjoying.Nothing aftermarket, however the stereo is horrid. I'm not an audiophile but this has got to be one of the worse stock stereos ever. I'm not entirely sure some speakers aren't blown. So that will be changing soon.Anyway, I attached a picture of her, she still sparkles like new.
Welcome to the GenVibe family! And you included a picture in your first post! Yeee-Haaaa! (Pardon my fake Texas-ism. Our community theatre is getting ready to do Red, White and Tuna, one of the hilarious Texas-centered comedies by Jaston Williams & Ed Sears.)
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
Welcome and congrats on purchasing the 09!!!Kostby:When I was in high school I did the sound for a production of 'Greater Tuna' from that same series of plays. It was hilarious!!!
Welcome, and Go Team Second Generation!I am satisfied with my base stereo, but I never crank the volume.

I bought my 2007 brand new and couldn't believe how bad the stereo sounded. Before you spend big bucks on speakers, try just replacing the head unit with an aftermarket one. I noticed a HUGE difference just by installing a Pioneer CD Player. I still run my stock speakers and sounds ALOT better than the original.

Spending $140 on the head unit and $60 on the speakers. So not a fortune yet....
