Sold my Vibe

Post by vibb »

Hey everyone,I sold my Vibe recently after several months of unresolved warranty issues. On my last drive back to the dealer, it had 600 miles, a driveline vibration, delayed upshifts, and a stumble/hesitatation.I didn't have the patience to wait another 2 months for a BBB arbitration, so it cost me about 12% of the purchase price to get the dealer to buy it back. Thanks to all who tried to help. I still think the Vibe/Matrix has a lot going for it, but unfortunately for me, it didn't work out.Salsa, Base automatic, Power Group, Moons and Tunes

At the moment, I'm leaning towards a Mini with a CVT transmission I drove a few days ago. It has a really weird (but good and smooth) transmission feel. It revs like an airplane when accelerating and you get pushed back in the seat. Or it has a 6 'speed' mode which lets you manually shift through 6 stepped ratios. One big drawback is, like the Vibe, it has a 3 month waiting list. The other car I'm considering is a Subaru Impreza wagon, but I haven't driven one yet.But this time, I'm gonna join several owner forums before I buy another car.See ya!

I went with the Vibe for more room in the rear for my chocolate lab after a day of duck hunting. Well good luck with your next vehicle.

I'm sure your poochie is glad you did. As for the MINI and please I'm not saying this to bash anyone if they like this vehicle and this is only my personal opinion but that car is down right ugly! It might get a little better gas mileage because of it's smaller 1.6 liter engine but then again you might have to really mash the gas to get it to move.

I hate to say this, I love the mini cooper. I think it is a very good looking vehicle and the build quilty is amazing (BMW builds it). As to performance, the car is very light and nimble, go cart type handeling, and the car actually is very good in acceleration. Get a mini cooper S with a supercharger and the car really moves. That aside I do love my vibe, and I am in no way dissappointed with it, but had to give the mini its props that is deserves.p.s. not trying to bash your comment d_m_, just wanted to give my take on it.

Definitely check out the Sube. Amazing car, somewhat less room than the vibe but handles amazingly well (yup, better even than the Vibe GT... mainly due to the awd). Only drawback is that the interior is kinda old design so it does not have the clean fresh roomy look of the vibe. Oh yeah, it gets worse mileage too.good luck
