(If I'm asking something redundant in another thread, sorry... I did search this with no result) I can't help but browse craigslist for other vibes in my area. I got a pretty sweet deal on mine from there, one owner, dvd nav, log book from the owner, all the factory/dealer paperwork including the brochure. I don't recall reading in that brochure that the vibe has the "Washable Interior" that every craigslist listing for them seems to indicate. Obviously you can in some way or another wash just about anything,... And yes, the plastic bed in the back is pretty easy to clean. It's very obviously not a Honda Element with the spray it down with a hose option... But on the off chance I've missed something, what is the definition for "washable interior" on the vibe? And, Does anyone have suggestions for getting Feta cheese out of the fabric? That's the last time I let anyone eat pizza in my car....Thanks
Yeah, I'd agree -- the Vibe's interior is far from "washable" though it's certainly easier to clean the trunk area than other cars.As for getting the feta out, I'd try a shop vac. I spilled a bunch of coffee all over my passenger seat, and I managed to get it out pretty easily. A good sized soft brush, some mild soap and a little warm water. Build up some suds, brush it on and scrub gently to lift it up/break it up. Then use the shop vac without any attachment and suck out as much water as possible. Wait 10 minutes, then suck out again! The drier you can get it, the less of a chance you'll have to grow mildew.
I'd hope you know that the Element can not be sprayed down with a hose inside, it is just meant to look that way. There are many things floor level that get destroyed by water... but I get what you mean.
