Let's Hear It for Lift Glass!!!

Post by LedFootin »

At least once a year I have some project around the house that requires me to haul something longer than I can fit in my car, like fourteen foot cedar boards for the new garden or ten foot legs of copper for the plumbing, I don't know how anybody with a newer Vibe gets along without it.

Just about the only difference between your Vibe and mine on any given Michigan spring weekend is the paint color and the 2zz. Ha!My base Vibe has transported landscape lumber, a rented pressure washer and 12 bags of mulch at the same time before. And from what others have posted on here, that's nuthin'!

I hear you there! I'm way past being suprised at what I can cram into this thing. here is last fall's roofing project, the only thing I couldn't fit into it was the 4'x8' sheets of plywood.

And if GM wouldn't have skimped on the cross bars, we'd be able to take care of the 4x8 sheets, too.

Thats one feature that is truly missing on the latest model. So handy when you have one or 2 dogs in the cargo and don't want to open the hatch but still wanna let fresh air in

I almost bought a 2008 but the numbers were not right. Unfortunately life is full of trade-offs. I miss the lift glass and the fold down front passenger seat but like the additional airbags, traction control & abs brakes that came standard on the '09. I think there was also a price reduction in '09 that made the Vibe lower priced even with the additional safety features.

Camogirl, great name. With a name like that I'm guessing you've had one or two lashed to your roof?
