Bridgestone Potenza $400, thoughts

Post by woodyg »

My vibe needs some new sneakers. I have 140k on it now and it will soon be relegated to being the 3rd car(about 7k a year).......................I can purchase 4 Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grid's 205/55/16 for $400 from Costcos . That includes everything, tire, mounting, balance, insurance, tax ....I will right out a check for $392. Has anyone used these tires......I am looking to spend as little as possible for an OK tire?.....thoughts

I have them too on a Civic. You might call your local Firestone dealer - the Civic tires were something like 195/60-15s but he came in $80 cheaper than anyone else I could find - I was out the door with four for under $300.

check for some slightly used tires on craigslist. I found a set of 4 hankook ventus v4 tires with less than 3000 miles for $100.

I had em on my 98 S-10 for 3 years...one set.I hauled much (removed) around turns and had lots of fun on them. They just took the abuse and smiled. I loved em,I was told by the guy that bought my truck from me tho, that they started falling apart after he bought it. But oh well, they were great for me for 3 yrs
