hey guys, great forum you got going here, I have a silver and grey cladding '03 vibe that I love , but I'd really like to change the color of the cladding to a black or if anyone has a silver front to back bumper set from canada that would be great too!also doing the vht nightshade tail lights this weekend any tips? do you just apply it on the OUTSIDE of the lights after sand paper and cleaning?any help would be great guys!

There's plenty of adhesion promoter mixed into that VHT, so sanding won't be necessary, just make SURE you clean them well and wipe them down with alcohol letting them air-dry before you spray. And unless you wanna sand them down and start over again....don't do them too dark like I did

I am also researching ways to make my cladding black. I have a few ideas and am talking to people about the longevity of such an idea. Of course the best thing would probably be to take it to a local pro... which is really the plan for me, but not in the budget, so I am looking into things that will "do" for now. Let me know if you come up with any ideas. So far I am thinking about plasti-dip: as an experimental thing really because it should just peel off if I dont like it and if it gets marred. Also looking into actual bumper paint, another member here did it in the gray, Im trying to find black.
