Projector Retrofit

Post by MotoAce51 »

I am hoping to do the projector & angel eye retrofit this weekend ( as long as the weather isn't bad). Anyways I want your opinions on painting the reflector. Should I paint it? If so, what color? Can anyone photoshop a tinted reflector housing with the projector mod?

I guess it would depend on what look you're going for. If it were me, I would go for a factory look, and probably keep it chrome. My next choice would be to paint it black. But I think it would look cool painting it the color of the car too. Kind of like the newer model Corvette's.

My car is black hence the question. Im not sure if it would be too much black. Thats why I was thinking the chrome black.

Just look at my avatar for a black housing. I wouldn't have it any other way!!! Then again I HATE chrome so the fact I had a buddy with a paint shop and willing to paint was a HUGE plus for me!!

I thought about just letting him do it but I wanted to try it on my own. I trusted buying the parts from him and tapped his knowledge while I did it. The first one came out ok, but it had a couple issues. But I liked doing it. I did learn, its prob a good idea to use gloves when trying to split the lense. The plastic gets hot....
