Maybe 85 by accident - I guess I should say inadvertently as fortunately there was no accident.

105.. and that was scary.. I though it was going to launch into space. Must be because it sets up high? I dunno.. doesn't feel the same as it did in a Mustang. I regularly set my cruise at 80 on the highway.
"Way more than allowed by law," complete with written certification of said speed event by a sworn officer of a unit of local government who witnessed the event. Actually, that was a long (pre-Vibe) while ago. I know, because my auto insurance rate is finally starting to look reasonable again. And this isn't the best place to discuss such matters unless it occurred on the race track or the Autobahn. Except for Political Asylum (which requires registration to read and post messages), GenVibe is a wide-open forum, and even without registration, your spouse, employer, insurance agent, or persistent media troll following your campaign for President in 2016 could easily find and report your misdeeds.

03 base. i wont say how i know this, but the speed limiter of said car kicks in at 115. and i wont be suprised to see this thread get some attention from the mods, we should not discuss such evil deeds
Yes First Gen have limiters at 115mph. Been over 100 on mine. After I get it tuned may take a few runs up and down the interstate

Never was over 120 km/h with it so far, mostly because last summer my aftermarket wheels were missing centering rings so it was vibrating over 100km/h.Since I put them back on with rings this time, I know it can get to 120 without vibration...but I am not really into speed (got only 1 ticket in 20 years) yeah I know might also just have been lucky
back when i had my first vibe an 04 base auto, i was able to hit 111mph, i was also able to get a 2000 Mazda MPV up to 115mph. now in this my 06, ive only gotten up to 90 mph (getting upto Austin for a friends party)
There are very few opportunities for me to safely test the speed of the Vibe, and ZERO *legal* opportunities to do it, sadly. I always feel like it's such a waste of a car to spend all my time barely breaking 60mph, but such is life when you care about your insurance premiums. Luckily here in Chicago I can do this thing called "go with the flow of traffic" which, on some highways, ends up being close to 80mph even when the speed limit is 55... and I'm still getting passed on the left going that speed. Oh, silly Chicagoland drivers. The fastest I ever went in this car was just over 100mph- it was on an empty stretch of highway very late at night with no one else around in good weather conditions. If I'm going to break the law, I at least don't want to put anyone else in danger doing it (or get caught... heh...) I'd love to have the opportunity to go faster, because I love that speed feeling, but again there's rarely a chance to do so that isn't dangerous, and no chance to do so that isn't illegal. But I know the car can go faster- I got my dad's Ford Taurus to 115mph once before it started shaking (I was young and being stupid/curious, it was on empty highway but it was probably a really bad idea anyway...)Though with gas going so high, 65mph doesn't seem so bad in retrospect...

In purely educational pursuits ...... I got my 09 GT to 115 but I was not on a public road. After my last traffic stop I'm hyper paranoid about speeding when I am .
07 Automatic.I'm old, speed holds no appeal any longer. I'd say my fastest speed in the Vibe was about 85 or so on I 95 through the Baltimore / DC area. IF you DON'T do that kind of a speed down there you are a hazard to traffic flow and will get run off of the highway!! Crazy place!!My speed days were back in the early 70's when I worked for Mercedes Benz and would get called upon to do dealer swaps either alone or with co-workers, that was when speed was fun!! Brand new 450 SL's, SEL's, etc.Had some of those cars going so fast the hairs on my arms stood up! Hey, I was YOUNG, RECKLESS, (should I add STUPID?) and nothing bad happened. There were also many fewer cops and much less traffic and a LOT of open road in undeveloped areas. I was too in the moment to think about deer and other natural hazards as I cruised at reckless and insane speeds in cars that cost as much as a house back then! The ultimate bummer was when you went for a swap and got handed the keys to a 220 D and later a 240D !! Putt putt putt putt, you efficiently got home. Then the 300D came out!! ZOOM ZOOM!....kinda Dave
