Replace Driver side mirror

I searched but did not find a clear answer Do you need to take the door panel off to replace the mirror? or, Can you just pop off the tweeter and plug in the new one?

Put mirror on tonight speaker cover just pops off. Have to take the door panel off to plug in mirror. All is good now

I have the old mirror Motor still good and there is only a small crack in the moonstone cover. the top cover of the motor is what needed to be replaced. if anyone is in need let me know.
